We sail away to foreign shores

We sail away to foreign shores

And return with friends

Who were to us unknown before?

For all of us who love the sea

Are of a fine and firm fraternity

For all of us who have pitted their

All against the sea

Know only to well

How beautiful yet treacherous it

May well be

For he who has never asked

That god should keep a watch

With him when under sail

Has never been at sea in a full

And rageing winter gale

For God not man is master of

The great and mighty beautfull sea

And he who might forget this

Does so in fact most perilously!
